From Upskilling4Germany participant to trainee: Othmane starts his training in Germany

On August 1, 2026, Othmane Jaanide started his training as a hotel manager in Germany. This makes him the first participant in our Upskilling4Germany program to start an apprenticeship in Germany after completing his qualification.

Othmane successfully completed our TQ1 "Basic Service – Gastronomy & Hospitality" in January 2026  . During the qualification, he was able to develop his previous experience in the hotel and catering industry in a targeted manner and at the same time gain important insights into the requirements and standards of the German hotel and catering industry.

Already during the program, Othmane convinced with his motivation, his friendly and open manner and his great willingness to learn. He has taken advantage of the opportunity to prepare specifically for his professional career in Germany and has consistently worked on his professional future.

Now, from this perspective, it is becoming reality.

Upskilling4Germany has supported Othmane in developing his professional skills, getting to know the German job market better and preparing for his next professional step. The qualification helped him to concretize his career opportunities in Germany and to follow the path to suitable training.

His story shows what Upskilling4Germany wants to achieve: People with professional experience and motivation are given the opportunity to develop their skills in a targeted manner and prepare for the requirements of the German job market. This can create new career prospects – and in the best case, the path to training or employment in Germany.

Dear Othmane, we are very happy about your success and about having accompanied you on part of your journey! We wish you every success, exciting experiences and continued motivation and joy in the hotel industry for your training.
