During her trip to Senegal, Minister of State for European and International Affairs, Melanie Huml, visited the project "Sustainable transport solutions for Senegal". According to Huml, it is in particular small-scale farmers who benefit from this project. "Thanks to the low-cost transport options, they can now offer the food they produce regionally and supraregionally and can obtain seed and fertiliser more easily. This makes a valuable contribution to food security, especially in rural regions".
