Current funding phase

Current funding phase (1 January 2025 - 31 December 2026):

Project phase 3 is aimed at the innovative further development and expansion of the ‘hub4africa’ learning and information platform. The functionality of the existing platform will be expanded in order to integrate new target groups and tasks.

By expanding the course portfolio, the content will be specifically tailored to regional and labour market requirements. The reach of the platform will be consistently increased through close cooperation with network partners, multipliers and via social media.

A key new element is the integration of partial qualifications (TQs) recognised in Germany.

These enable skilled workers to gradually acquire job-related qualifications that can lead to a full vocational qualification in accordance with the Vocational Training Act (BBiG). The TQ modules comprise theoretical content, practical instruction and an in-company qualification phase. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate recognised in Germany.

The modules are taught and tested in German, which ensures not only technical but also job-related language skills.

With this innovative approach, ‘hub4africa’ will support the controlled migration of skilled workers to Germany and make an important contribution to alleviating the shortage of skilled workers, particularly in Bavaria. The platform thus represents a unique offer in Germany that combines education, qualification and migration in an innovative way.
